Styriette. A revolutionary idea from the 1930s is making its comeback.
Classic design, adapted to the demands of modern bicycle mobility and equipped with the state-of-the-art BionX motor.
Philosophy
When the "Styriette" was presented at the Vienna International Spring Fair for the first time in March of 1938 by the Steyr-Daimler Puch company, no one could have suspected that this auxiliary motorised bicycle would not only be the legitimate predecessor of the moped but would also experience a renaissance in the new millennium.
No taxes. No mandatory insurance. No driver’s licence. It seems commonplace today, but these elements were critical for the development of the pedal assisted bicycle.
With the next generation Styriette, we rejuvenate a 1930’s classic. Visually based on the original, yet technically adapted to the needs of the present day. In place of the former two-stroke motor, today’s Styriette is powered by the most advanced electric motor technology, the BionX IGH3™ motor.
Harmonically integrated within the wheel, the new Styriette presents a concept as unique as its predecessor.
